CHRISTINE DE SMEDT
Christine De Smedt ’ s work is situated between dancing , performing , choreographing , coordinating , organizing and curating artistic projects . Christine was a member of company les ballets C de la B from 1991 — 2012 , and has created work including a solo La force fait l ’ union , fait la force , Escape Velocity and a largescale mass choreography 9x9 . In 2012 Christine premiered a series of performed portraits of different artists , and in 2014 presented with Bojana Cvejic spatial confessions in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern . From 2013 — 16 Christine was pedagogical coordinator for the Brusselsbased PARTS . Today Christine has ongoing collaborations with Xavier Le Roy , Mårten Spångberg , Mette Ingvartsen , Eszter Salamon , Julie Pfliederer and Myiram Van Imschoot .
JOHANNA CHEMNITZ
Johanna Chemnitz was born 1981 in Hanover , Germany and has studied Modern and Contemporary Dance at the ArtEZ Arnhem ( Netherlands ) from 2000 — 04 . Johanna has been based in Berlin since then and has worked with Jens van Daele , Eszter Gàl , Sasha Waltz & Guests , Trisha Brown , Pipaluk Supernova / Half Machine Copenhagen , Sanja Ristic / Cie Salon Sauvage , Maren Witte , Nir De Volff / TotalBrutal , Vidal Bini / KHZ and over the last years with Margrét-Sara Gudjónsdóttir and Mette Ingvartsen . Johanna has been teaching workshops and classes in Improvisation & Composition and Dance Technique since 2005 and Ashtanga Yoga since 2007 . Since 2006 Johanna has predominantly created works in collaboration with other artists , which have been performed internationally , won prizes and opened festivals .
KATJA DREYER
After graduating from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 1999 , Berlin born actress , dancer and performer Katja Dreyer has been working around Europe and beyond . Katja has proved indisposable for hit creations like While We Were Holding It Together and Springville . Katja ’ s name can be found on cinema credits , theatre , dance and experimental performances . Katja has worked with renowned choreographers like Ivana Mueller , Miet Warlop , Jean-Luc Ducourt , Stefan Dreher , Mette Edvardsen , Mette Invartsen , Sarah van Hee , Lotte van den Bergh , Superamas , Lito Walkey and others . Some of the shows Katja participates in have been touring for more than five years . Katja is currently working on a new creation ; Ophelia comes to Brooklyn which will premiere in February 2018 .
ELIAS GIROD
Elias Girod is a dance artist , and has been based in Stockholm since 2012 . Elias is currently touring with Mette Ingvartsen ’ s 7 Pleasures , performing at the retrospective of Marina Abramović at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and working on a self-created performance Mouth Piece . Elias is a board member of Möjlighetsministeriet and a former vice president of Danscentrum Stockholm . Elias is part of the Weld Company and has worked with freelance choreographers such as Robin Dingemans , Sidney Leoni , Gaël Sesboué , Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet . Elias graduated from the Finnish National Ballet School and has a Bachelor in Dance Performance from DOCH . Between 2007 — 10 , Elias worked for Europa Dance in France and for The Vanemuine Theatre in Estonia .
BRUNO FREIRE
Bruno Freire is a Latin ( South ) American man born in São Paulo , Brazil , who for the past couple of years has lived and worked between Belgium , France , and Brazil . Bruno holds a Master ’ s Degree from ex . e . r . ce in Montpellier ( France ), another Master ’ s in Communication and Semiotics at PUC-SP ( Brazil ), a Bachelor in Dance and performance from PUC-SP , and spent a few years studying architecture ( 2001 — 04 ). Bruno is currently performing in works by Mette Ingvartsen ( 7 Pleasures and to come ( extended )) and Radouan Mriziga ( 7 ). In Brazil , Bruno has worked with Sheila Ribeiro , Cristian Duarte and Thelma Bonavita among others . Nowadays , Bruno is searching for the marvellous .
GEMMA HIGGINBOTHAM
Gemma Higginbotham is a contemporary dancer and performer . Gemma studied at the Northern School Of Contemporary Dance in Leeds before moving to Brussels to attend PARTS . After graduating Gemma performed and collaborated with , among others , Michele Anne de Mey , Theiry De Mey , Rasmus Olme and Max Cuccarro , Manuella Rastaldi , Andy Deneys , Akram Khan , Philippe Blanchard and Kris Verdonck , and is now performing with Mette Ingvartsen .
