AUCKLAND CHORAL
Established in 1855, Auckland Choral is the only symphonic choir in the Auckland
region, and the largest, with 140 active singing members.
As New Zealand’s oldest art organisation, Auckland Choral performs timeless classic
choral works, as well as world premieres of New Zealand compsoers especially
commissioned for the Choir, alongside some of our finest soloists and orchestras.
Under the ispirational leadership of Music Director, Professor Uwe Grodd, Auckland
Choral brings a unique blend of artistic excellence, professional polish and
community spirit to its performances, and is proud to ‘sing its part’ in a significant
role wthin Auckland’s arts scene.
