Critical Dialog
Included in the 2017 Critical Dialog Program was artist, author and
(during the earlier parts of his career) scientist Enrique Martínez
Celaya, the author of books and papers in art, poetry, philosophy and
physics, and whose work has been exhibited and collected by major
institutions around the world; Anoka Faruqee, American painter and
Director of Graduate Studies in Painting and Printmaking at Yale
School of Art; Glenn Harcourt, author who holds advanced degrees
from the University of California, Berkeley and Yale and writes about
the history of art and visual culture; Tom Healy, poet and Advisor
on Global Initiatives to the Brooklyn Museum of Art; Eleanor
Heartney, Contributing Editor to Art in America and Artpress and
author of numerous books on contemporary art including Art
and Today, Postmodernism and Postmodern Heretics; Pamela
Joseph, Aspen-based multi-media artist whose work addresses
socio-political issues and feminist concerns; Helen Molesworth,
chief curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles;
Francis Naumann, independent scholar, curator and art dealer
specializing in the art of the Dada and Surrealist periods; and
Tom Sachs, sculptor and art provocateur best known
for his elaborate recreations of modern icons.
