André Watts first burst onto the music scene when Leonard Bernstein chose him to make his debut with the New York Philharmonic. The now legendary artist performs Rachmaninoff’ s most popular Piano Concerto. Christopher Theofanidis, one of the most performed living composers, honors fellow composer Stephen Paulus in a new work.

Since it was featured in the film Elvira Madigan, Mozart’ s Piano Concerto No. 21 has become perhaps the most well-known of his piano concertos. This masterpiece is preceded by Saint-Saëns ' grisly dance of death and followed by Strauss ' quintessential tone poem Don Quixote.
