Collegiate block schedule You will learn more effectively in the collegiate model of scheduling. The collegiate model provides four classes per day — sufficient time to stimulate thought and discussion, to write an in-class essay independently, to work cooperatively in solving a math problem, or to complete a science laboratory session with a partner. 100% Furthermore, the times the classes meet rotates throughout the week, allowing you to experience each teacher at their best time of the day and yours. This schedule also allows more time during the day for you to meet with teachers or clubs and organizations through the fifth bell activity time or the common lunch shared by all students. GO TO COLLEGE Technology From tablet PCs as a foundation for each student, to coding, 3D printing, video production, robotics, and more, technology has become a universal and necessary part of the Academy’s curriculum. 17 ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO Taking four subjects at a time will allow you to manage your time and balance the course content. Teachers also have fewer students at any given time, so they are better able to know each student and her individual progress. You can take and master more courses in the collegiate model, which allows you to take two sequential math or foreign language courses in one academic year. 13:1 1:1 TABLET PC PROGRAM 160-170 STUDENTS PER GRADE 8 Each icon = 20 girls 9
