Students in the ES Program meet the same academic requirements as their classmates and are mainstreamed into College Preparatory, Honors, and Advanced Placement classes. Educational Services Program Established in 1982 so that each student has the opportunity to develop her academic potential, Saint Ursula Academy’s Educational Services Program (ES Program) uniquely serves girls with learning disabilities and AD/HD by providing accommodations identified in the student’s service plan or IEP. 12 Empowering each student to reach her own potential In order to guarantee a high quality of service, the ES Program maintains a small number of students in each class. Students in the ES Program are selected through a separate application process at the time of admission to Saint Ursula Academy. If you or your student are already receiving academic accommodations at your current school, we encourage you to learn more about the ES Program by contacting Ms. Geri Walsh at [email protected]. Personal and college counseling The Counseling Department specifically addresses academic and personal growth, college and career awareness, and the development of the whole person. Each student is assigned to one of six skilled counselors who will provide caring and consistent support as she plans her future. Each counselor’s caseload is low compared to other schools our size, which allows our students and counselors to form meaningful relationships through small group sessions and individual meetings. All of our counselors are licensed social-emotional counselors. Saint Ursula Academy contracts with individual mental health professionals to provide consultation and additional services on an as-needed basis. 13
