College Support
Students entering college continue to build on the
trusted relationships they established with our staff
while in high school. We know that resiliency in the
face of challenges, particularly for low-income and
first-generation students, is essential to persisting
to and through college on a four-year campus.
Our program prioritizes strengthening our students’
ability to cope with issues that inevitably surface
during college so they are prepared to succeed in
today’s workforce.
Our college support includes:
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE—In addition to
our need-based scholarships, college students are
also eligible for merit-based scholarships, which
they’ve earned throughout high school for modeling
behaviors that will make them successful in college
(e.g. GPA, attendance, community service, etc.)
ACADEMIC ADVISING—Each College Track
student remains supported by a College Completion
advisor who helps them choose a major, navigate
registration, connect to campus resources, and stay
on track managing their financial aid.
COLLEGE PARTNERSHIPS—We build
relationships with admissions directors and key
campus leaders at colleges nationwide to help our
students stay informed about the admissions process
and access important resources like Educational
Opportunity Programs. (See Page 8–9 for our list
of College Partners.)
