The fan favourite demolition derby delivers bone
crunching action that our spectators have come
to expect.
The two-day event, held on the September long
weekend, attracts more than 100 participants
each year from across the province (and even
outside of Alberta!).
Participants always have a great time and they
never leave empty handed as a number of prizes
are up for grabs. In addition to cash prizes, drivers
can vie for the many coveted trophies including
Most Aggressive, Most Sportsmanlike and the Hard
Luck Trophy, to name a few.
The Mudboggers also entertain crowds with
mud-spraying speed and compete against
one another for trophies and prizes.
The Edson Hillbilly Demolition Derby and Mudbog
has become a local institution with about 1,500 fans
coming out to cheer on their favourite drivers every
Labour Day weekend.
The weekend is a place to have fun and spend some
time in the mud, but safety is always paramount. There
are rules that govern both the building of the vehicles
and driving aspects of the event. Keep up to date,
connect with others or simply drop us a line on our
Facebook page at ‘Edson Hillbilly Demolition Derby.’
