We are so grateful for the Heart of Gold of Dr . Ilona Szer of the Pediatric Rheumatology Department at Rady ’ s Children ’ s Hospital-San Diego . Lisha was diagnosed with Systemic Onset Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of five . For seven years , monthly visits with Dr . Szer were simply part of her life . Knowing that Rady Children ’ s Hospital provided the medical and emotional support for Lisha and her parents throughout those years is never far from our hearts .
