On the international front, the two most often players within a Trump Administration are China and
Russia. Will Trump find a way to negotiate better trade deals with China? Will Russia’s relations with
the U.S. warm under a Trump Administration? The answer to both questions is “probably”, although the
certainty of the “probably” is probably highly uncertain.
In any event, the movement of the exchange rates is worth watching. Any strong depreciation of the
Rubble or the Renminbi could suggest somethings not going well.
