The sheer size of the Patricia Region makes it an attraction unto itself with
thousands of lakes and massive expanses of forest; it is real wilderness up here.
The fly-in fishing in this region is unparalleled but there are also many drive-to
destinations. Some of the larger lakes in the Patricia Region include Eagle Lake,
Lac Seul, Red Lake, Sturgeon Lake and Lake St. Joseph to name just a few.
Spectacular fishing and hunting along with paddling in Woodland Caribou and
Wabakimi Provincial Parks are notable highlights. Dryden, Red Lake, Vermilion
Bay, Ear Falls, Sioux Lookout, Ignace and Pickle Lake are the major communities.
