Checklist for a Successful Hunting
Trip in Sunset Country
Item # 2 - Ammunition
You are allowed to bring in up to 200 rounds of ammunition into Ontario with you. The ammunition should be stored separately or locked
up. It can be stored in the same locked container as the firearms.
Item # 3 – Transporting Firearms
Your firearms must be properly encased and a secure locking device,
such as a trigger lock or cable lock, should be attached so the firearms
cannot be fired.
Item # 4 – Prohibited Weapons
Never bring a prohibited weapon such as a handgun, modified rifle or
automatic weapon into Canada.
If you’ve never hunted in Ontario’s Sunset Country and you’ve now
booked your trip, then here’s a checklist of things to remember and
plan for to ensure you’ll have a great time:
Item # 1 – Registering Your Firearm

register your firearm with Canada Cus
