Life on the Water
With over 70,000 lakes and rivers in Sunset Country, being
out on the lake is a way of life. The fishing is phenomenal and
rarely is it crowded at your favourite fishing hole. The lakes
can be explored in many different ways via houseboat, motorboat, pontoon, canoe or kayak or the newest craze - the
stand-up paddle board. The lakes range from crystal clear
deep trout lakes to tea stained walleye lakes to remote fly-in
only lakes.

Head out onto the lake and within minutes you’ll feel at
peace and in awe all at the same time. The beauty of the Canadian Shield and Boreal Forest that line the lakes can take
your breath away. Pull up to a secluded beach, see a waterfall
or catch a glimpse of a bear or moose along the shore. As
you head back after a day on the lake with the sunset as your
backdrop, you’ll wonder if you are in fact in paradise.
