H I G H L I G H T S F R O M T H E NPAA MAGNUM BC CLASSIC MAY 1, 2016 Congratulations to all of the amazing athletes who competed in the 2016 NPAA Magnum BC Classic held in Richmond BC on May 1, 2016.  The sun was shining all weekend in Vancouver but it paled in comparison to the sensational shining stars that emerged from all over Western Canada to compete. After a very successful workshop season in Victoria and Vancouver, we hosted a highly competitive and growing roster of athletes on the NPAA stage for this show. We would like to welcome our new Pro’s to the NPAA Family and congratulate all of the athletes who participated in this show. In bodybuilding, Brian Tamayo (light-weight) and David Duncan (heavy weight) earned pro titles. David Duncan also won in the Masters (over age 40) bodybuilding category. Figure athlete, Tara Koehler. Tara took home first place in both the open and master’s figure categories. Bikini Model Pro cards were awarded to Michelle Tang (short), and Kaitlyn Dosen (tall). First place 56. was awarded to Master’s bikini athlete Alice Shin-Peterson for her category. Men’s physique awarded a pro card to Gurjant Dhaliwal. Fitness model welcomes our newest fitness model pro Marina Zimmerman, and had a historic moment by awarding the first ever Master’s fitness model (over age 35) Pro card to athlete Yvette Styner. Congrats to transformation award winner Brittany McKill, for her tremendous achievement. Congratulations to Sylvea Minci on winning the Magnum Carne Diem Bam Photography Most Marketable Award. Coach of the year was awarded to the dynamic duo of Team Ripped Geek. Lou Noel and Mark Crawford were surrounded by an incredible group of their athletes on stage to savor the proud moment. We were thrilled by the entertainment and lively crowd at this show, and can’t wait to return in the fall for the BC Championships!
