he flight of time is a reality in life whose
understanding increasingly evades me.
It might seem like only yesterday when
the halls were decorated for the Christmas
Season. The same is true in our AMHA cycle
of life. Only yesterday we were preparing
for our trip to Tampa to attend the Annual
meeting. Now, here were are again making
those same preparations for our meeting in
Las Vegas.
We flew through a year of meetings, local
shows, three GREAT regional shows, and

then moved right into a World Show that I
think many can say brought about a lot of
fun and enjoyment to everyone. There were
a lot of new things happening there that I feel
strongly will continue and become traditions.
Did you realize the Crockpot potluck had a
circulation of food and eating for 4.5 hours?
I think that is just absolutely wonderful! I will
make sure it happens again next year. There
just was so much for us all to embrace and
be proud of with our eyes set on making it
all even better next year. If you were unable
to be there, you really did miss an “event.” I
truly hope you can be a part of this reunion
of Miniature horse lovers next year.
The year that lies ahead has many
adventures and challenges for us all. There
are many new and exciting things in the
making to best serve you, our members,
and make the Association be the best that it
can be and flourish! Please do your part by
keeping tabs on the latest and greatest news
via Eblast, our AMHA Facebook pages,
publications, minutes, etc. We try to provide
up to date information for you so that you
are kept “in the know.”
The ride through this past year has been
fast for me as your president. I so enjoyed
going and working at all the regionals and
meeting so many good people! Many new
and strong friendships that I treasure were
made for me this year. While there are, of
course, many frustrations, we also sure did
have good laughs and created some darn
good stories to retell over and over again. I
have saturated myself with all the knowledge
I possibly could to be the best that I could
be for each of you. I tried to seek answers
to questions from those with the wisdom to
aid me in decisions. I worked to delegate and
involve as many people as possible. At the
close of this year, I can only hope my hours of
work, constant communications, meetings,
and everything else has helped us all as an
association to move forward into a brighter
future. We are all in this together, and we
need all of you! The cycle keeps spinning
rapidly, and we must keep moving forward.
I will close the year now with the warmest
wishes to each of you in this CHRISTmas
season. While we can play with Santa Claus,
even dress like him and give children rides
in carts, we must keep our hearts and souls
in line with why we actually celebrate this
season. This, my friends, is what it is all about.
God’s richest blessings to you in the
season of His birth and always,
Sincerely,
