THE BAND LAURA BANGAY Performing Musical Director / Keyboard BECKY BRASS Percussion Laura trained at the University of Leeds. For the past four and a half years she has worked as Children’s Musical Director and Associate Conductor on the West End production of the RSC’s Matilda the Musical. Other theatre work as MD includes The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at Birmingham Rep; Eric’s at Liverpool Everyman; and Children’s Musical Director on the UK tour of The Sound of Music. She was also an MD on the film Pride. As a keyboard player and rehearsal pianist, her work include Shrek and The Lord of the Rings at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Donmar Warehouse; Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre; Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward; Wizard of Oz and Sister Act at the London Palladium; Hairspray at the Shaftesbury; Avenue Q at the Noël Coward; The Drowsy Chaperone at the Novello; Spamalot at the Palace Theatre; Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly; and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on a UK tour. Laura also works regularly at Arts Educational Schools, London. Becky is a classically trained drummer and percussionist, graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama in 2015. She played in the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and with Colin Currie at the 2014 Southbank Centre Festival of Percussion. She was a guest musician for the world premiere of Hofesh Shechter’s Untouchable at the Royal Opera House, and played drums and percussion for Baddies at the Unicorn. Becky is also the drummer and arranger for Chiqas. She is proudly endorsed by Zildjian cymbals. EMILY LINDEN Guitar Emily trained at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Her work in theatre includes Pharaoh ’Cross the Mersey, Scouse of the Antarctic and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Fazakerley at the Royal Court, Liverpool; Mam! I’m ’Ere! at the Royal Court, Liverpool, and the Dome, Liverpool; The Official Story of LFC at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, and Odyssey Arena, Belfast; YNWA: The Official History of Liverpool Football Club at the Royal Court, Liverpool, and the Gaiety, Dublin; Departure Lounge at the Edinburgh Fringe, 2012; and Spring Awakening at LIPA. Emily also performs and writes for various artists throughout the UK, including Frankie Davies.
