Mayor’ s Welcome
James Robert Bozajian
Welcome to Calabasas! I am honored to serve as Mayor of Calabasas this year, when the city will mark its 25th anniversary since incorporation.
Throughout our history, the Chamber of Commerce has been one of the city’ s closest partners, participating in and contributing to many successful ventures. The Chamber formally serves as Calabasas’ Visitor and Tourism Center, but in actuality we rely upon it for much more. From promoting popular events such as the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, to advocating effectively on behalf of our business community, the Chamber maintains a strong presence in most everything the city undertakes.
Calabasas takes pride in promoting a business-friendly environment. We have no business tax, and we impose no registration requirements. We are a small enough community where we can actually take the time to work thoughtfully with our commercial / retail sector to ensure that the specific needs of individual enterprises are addressed.
The value of being actively involved in the Chamber’ s many networking opportunities cannot be overstated. I have personally been a Chamber member for more than 20 years. If you are a Chamber member, please take advantage of everything the organization offers. And if you are not, I encourage you to join.
Whether you are a resident, a business owner, or just a visitor to our beautiful town, we know you will come to appreciate what makes the City of Calabasas such a wonderful place to live and work.
