GREGORY SQUIRE, Concertmaster
Gregory Squire is one of New Zealand’ s busiest and most sought-after musicians. Born in Waipukurau and educated at the Royal College of Music, he led a varied life as soloist, concertmaster and conductor prior to his return to New Zealand. Now a member of the NZSO first violin section, he is busy throughout New Zealand as teacher and performer. Gregory is the Principal Guest Conductor of the Hawke’ s Bay Orchestra and has conducted and appeared as soloist with the Wellington Sinfonia, the Kapiti Concert Orchestra and the Wellington Chamber Orchestra. In his free time he enjoys sailing, kayaking, and fishing from the boats he has built.
