Okay, so maybe we need to stop using the name "racist." Maybe it's just a political stance during our presidential election to deal with the issue of illegal immigration in of our nation. A fact that we all seem to forget is that we all come from immigrates. Our country is founded on immigrates. Immigration, differences in knowledge, skills and beliefs have made our country strong. But for as strong as we are we have many dents in our armor. We let the color of our skin, the lands that we hail from, the religious we have, and sometimes even our own personal moral values dull our shine darker than a lump of coal. I was born in the mid-60s and grew up in the Equal Rights Era. The towns had not been integrated. Most of the colored population had not yet moved outward from the inner cities. The town and the area had a population of about 1,500 people. Everyone knew everyone and they knew everyone's business as well. Around the time I was 12 the first colored family moved to our town. Four to five years prior to that an oriental husband and wife opened a medical practice. My little town was slowly seeing integration. Now my father worked for the city newspaper. He was very accustomed to people of all nationalities. I was raised to be respectful. The color of any other man’s skin was no different than mine. I still feel this way but today. Although, it's been modified to add “but his actions can make him my enemy for the sake of my, my families, my friends, and my nations safety. Yes, I am a veteran. Not that it really matters much. I believe that our skin color is what makes us beautiful. Our actions, the things we say and do can make us ugly beyond what the eye can see. So this leads me on to the next thing. Our presidential candidates are split on whether our borders should be open or closed. Donald has it right. We need to secure our borders better and stop the inflow of illegal immigrants. Hillary had it right at one time but has changed her positions to suit the Democratic Parties agenda. Say anything to fit in, and win. Border security has been an issue for a very long time. It is nothing new. So why is it that we have attached the "racist" card to it? We have always had an immigration department and one of its functions is to deport illegal immigrants, now the question is being raised "what should be do with them?" Well, do the same thing as we have always done......ship them back! And now, Hillary and Barrack are bringing in refugees by the thousands, and some of them are deciding that they are not going to obey the laws of our land. Sharia Law has no right to exist in our country. It is inhuman, cruel, and goes against human rights. Regardless of the situation, if they cause a negative situation on our soil they need to be deported back to the place they came from, regardless of the end result. We extend our kindness, you abuse that kindness, and we rebuke it and send you back to face the issues that you were running away from. Sorry, no highway option. Don't bite the hand that feed you, don't expect or demand things that may not be your given rights, graciously take what you are given, abide by our laws, and be thankful. We should not be forced to change our nation’s traditions to sooth those that have immigrated here. Remember “We bare these rights to be SELF evident.” For those of you to understand what Hillary is bypassing by bringing in the refugees. Many of the Syrian refugees believe in Shariah Law. This is not a pretty way to deal justice. And our country does not affirm the right to practice you legal beliefs and laws. You have the right to free speech and the right to practice you religion, nothing about instituting a new basis of law within our borders. The question here is do all these refugees take the immigration oath when they are brought here. If so, they are in violation of it when they try to enforce their Shariah laws. For those of you that have never heard or even seed this oath here it is, black and white in its most recent form: "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God." See we were smart when we wrote this oath we made it very binding and covered the bases.
Now there are some issues that begin to get very sticky. And trust me, I'm glad I am not a member of Congress or the Senate when they got to figure these out. One, what do you do with all the illegal immigrants’ ones they are identified and ready to deport? Hmmm, Jesse Ventura, is that what all those FEMA camps were for? Their purpose.....never mind that is a different article. So anyhow. This is going to be a problem. There is over 11,000,000 (yep that is six “0”) illegal, undocumented, or people who have overstayed their Visas here in the United States. That is the population of LA and New York combined. Get the picture. The logistics would be astronomical. Anyone know of a giant ghost town? Area 51 still being used? I know, some president, no mentioning any names, has had cut back in military spending. Maybe we could use an old military instillation. Well maybe not. Just a thought.
So that is just one area of concern. Here is where it gets really sticky and our morals get put to the test. An American goes overseas and meets a foreign national. That person come to the U.S. and they conceive a child. That child is considered a legal US citizen because the one parent is a natural citizen. Easy peasie, so you may think. The foreign parent's visa expires, and has several options. One, the most obvious was to get married. That one isn't that easy any more with the current immigration laws. Two file for another Visa. Well they can do that but it starts to get expensive, there are work visas only last so long, and there are education visas only last until you graduate. In order for the foreign parent to stay in the U.S. the whole process sometimes takes longer than the visas are issued for and the process is costing over $10K. The cost of freedom in the United States.
