As our communities grow , Renown grows and expands right along with them to ensure we have the resources to meet the healthcare needs of residents throughout the state . That ’ s why we are committed to training more healthcare providers and encouraging them to stay in Nevada .
We work with the University of Nevada , Reno School of Medicine and St . George ’ s University in Grenada ( SGU ) School of Medicine as a key part of this initiative . This year we started clinical rotations with third- and fourth-year students from SGU and expanded residency programs with UNR Med . We ’ re working to launch the area ’ s first Master of Physician Assistant ( PA ) Studies Program . Currently , the closest PA program is in Sacramento , Calif .
