CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE ( CDA ) CREDENTIAL TRAINING
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend ( WFSCB ) implemented a 10-week , 120 clock hours Child Development Associate ( CDA ) Credential professional development training for child care staff working at Texas Rising Star ( TRS ) child care centers . Child care staff with a CDA credential provide an enhanced level of care to the children they serve . 22 child care staff completed this training and received their CDA credential .

WFSCB received quality care funding to enhance child care centers located in communities that support military bases . This funding was used to purchase and install 4 new playground structures at child care centers nearest military bases in the Workforce region . Playground structures were installed at A Bar Z Ponderosa Child Care Center , Bundles of Care Child Care Center , Small World Child Care Center , and Smart Planet Child Care Center .
