MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT / CEO
Dear Stakeholders ,
It is an exciting time for the Coastal Bend Region and 2016 was an amazing year for Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend . I am privileged to work with an incredible team that is dedicated to investing in our regional economic success through access to jobs , training and employer services . The collective and coordinated efforts of our Board of Directors , professional staff and strategic partners have resulted in our ability to serve our customers in an effective and efficient manner . It is our hope that through this Annual Report you will be able to see how we are striving to meet the needs of our customers and strategic partners to grow our community .
Our economy is evolving and our team has effectively adapted to meet the changing needs of employers and job seekers . We have deployed additional assets and resources to our rural communities to assist those hardest hit by the Eagle Ford Shale downturn . At the same time , our team of business services professionals have been hard at work to meet the increased hiring demand and volume of emerging employer growth . Additionally , our team is supplying the latest and most sophisticated Labor Market Intelligence so that employers , job seekers and strategic partners can make data-driven decisions .
I extend my sincere thanks to the Chief Elected Officials Council , Board of Directors and professional staff for their leadership and efforts in positively impacting so many families in the Coastal Bend . We will continue to build on the success of 2016 and are committed to elevating our strategic partnerships and presence in 2017 .
