Patrick Zamarippa
Prior to joining the Dallas Police Department, Patrick served
his country in the United States Navy. After three tours in Iraq,
Patrick answered his calling to law enforcement by joining the
Department in 2010, he was part of Academy Class 321. After
graduation he worked at the South Central Patrol Division,
Detention Services and found his home with the Foxtrots
at Southwest Patrol Division. During his tenure with the
department, Patrick received 35 commendations and awards,
which demonstrated his lasting commitment and service to the
citizens of Dallas.
Full of vitality, Patrick enjoyed life and his family, often sharing
his passion for his country and beloved sports teams. A true
friend and officer who will be missed.

Lorne Ahrens
Lorne grew up in Los Angeles, CA and prior to moving to Dallas,
he worked for the LA County’s Sheriff’s department for 10 years
and played semi-pro football.
Wanting a fresh start someplace new and being a life-long Dallas
Cowboys fan, Lorne moved to Dallas in 2002, where he became
a member of the Dallas Police Department with Academy Class
273. Known as the big man with the big heart, Lorne began
his career at the Southeast Patrol station, working there for 5
years before transferring to South Central. Promoted to Senior
Corporal in 2006 and joining Crimes Against Persons Division
in 2009, he became a Robbery Detective. Lorne returned to
patrol in 2014, working at the Southwest Patrol Station and
becoming part of the Foxtrots. Receiving 35 commendations
and awards, Lorne was an asset to our department.
