MATH IS ON BOARD MY MATH GALAXY I prepared the “Brain of Math” game for prep students to check our overall understanding of prep math. The purpose of this game is both to make students review the topics and have fun. There are two categories of questions. One is hard and the other one is easy. By turning the wheel, gamers can see if they will answer a hard or an easy one. Questions are all about prep math, including; types of numbers, triangles, equations, significant figures, factoring polynomials, Venn diagrams, perimeter and area. While I was preparing this game, I had the chance to review the topics. Preparing a math board game was very beneficial for me. In the middle of the first term, Mrs. Çorbacıoğlu showed us some options to prepare for our Math Yearly Homework. I chose to prepare a mathematical board game. You can play my board game with 2, 3 or 4 players. This board game’s name is Galactica Mathematica. I gave the name Galactica Mathematica because this board game’s themes are galaxies planets and stars. I prepared the board game for prep students. The questions in the game are generally easy but the given time is different for each question, and it is usually short for the question. This makes the questions hard to solve. I had a great time while I preparing my board game. I also reviewed our math lessons’ topics while I was writing the questions. I hope my friends had fun while they were playing the board game. I think they liked the concept and the appearance. At least that is what they told me! Zeynep Ayça ŞENOL Prep-A İdil Göksu ASLAN Prep-A 34 THE CLAPPER 2016 - 2017
