GLOOMIEST NIGHT I woke up possibly to the gloomiest and the dullest day as a beginning of series of incoming worst days I encountered, where the sunset appeared to be crimson red, and the only light I possessed at night was a glittering green pair of eyes. The cruise tour I myself and my friends did to Caribbean ended up with, I assumed, the most devastating event that could ever happen. All my friends, dead. The ship, sunk. Nothing to get out of it, nothing really that gave me a little sparkle of hope. Letting the ocean devour was the best option I got but I insisted to choose another, I chose to be alive than to be forgotten otherwise. With the boost of that motive, I swam to the only land I could recognize, using the least of the energy I got in my body. The island I saw wasn’t really big, or I just didn’t realize how big it was. Surrounded with huge clusters of rock, the island seemed to be a tropical one. I realized that gigantic palm trees covering the inner area of the island completely. In the afternoon-I hope it was afternoon- I managed to see some of the animals living in the jungle. Apparently monkeys were prevalent, but there were also crabs, weasels, termites and all kinds of animals. However the only thing I could do was to imagine what was waiting me out there at night, if and only I assumed they were friendly. I tried to climb on a tree before the night fall but I only got stuck with many, many attempts that resulted with a sprained ankle. Surely the palm trees were beautiful, with the large green leaves and the colossal light brown bodies they had, though what I was seeking was not really beauty. After walking deeper into the jungle, I found relatively small one to climb-Thanks God- and I luckily found a water source very close to it when I climbed up to see what was around. Following the way that wild animals opened for me, I went to the source and when I was done and climbed back to tree, I closed my eyes with the feeling of being full, due to the only luxury I have-water. Just after two minutes or so, I suddenly opened my eyes with the howling echoing in my ears like it would never stop. I wasn’t able to see what they are but I was only able to see one of them with a glimpse, and I was sure that “thing’s head was bigger than my entire body! Gosh, how was I going to get out of here? I wish this was all a bad dream. Berk ALEMDAR 9-A DEEP… WOODS … ALL WHITE The gloomy white sheet of nature laying on the ground daintily was making me completely covered with the sense of tranquility and a serene peaceful rest. Snowflakes were congruently soaring in the air in their attempt of showing an amazing visual feast even in the darkest evening all over the enormous woods. The way back to my village on my horse was not as easy as ıt was long. Yet, I lost myself whıle admiring the beauty of nature, even though I had been on this way for so many times – stıll not aware of this hidden treasure. The trip was going well until we had to have an unwanted pause for my horse. The amazing seen of the snow falling down around me was impressively beautiful that forced me to stop in front of a house and enjoy the atmosphere of the dark, deep and curious silence. I could feel the tension of the horse through the irritating sound of its harness bells that detained me to allow my soul vanish in the white tale of the nature. Without being aware of what he was actually missing, the horse was looking tremulously for a farmhouse not even caring about the great and complete perfectıon of nature, nevertheless being bored of it and trying to make me decide to continue the way to the village. I solemnly felt the need to continue the trip by leaving astern my enormous curiosity to discover the rest of the nature hidden behind the magnificent woods and having a chip on my shoulder about the magnıfıcent glow of the magıc snow. I got on the horse again whısperıng to myself the lines “The woods are lovely, dark, and deep but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep...” To my mind, there always was a life of challenge! It never got me away from looking forward to observing my surroundings in my humble attempt to assimilate the major grandeur of nature. The casual duties of my ordinary life-stream could prevent me from getting any chance to have a better glance and take a deeper look into this world of haze, into the rainbow light of pure White... Finally, I was in front of my house, opening the door to immediately go to my bed and dream about the deeper secret of the hidden nature inside-out the pure magic light within the amazing gigantic Woods of White.
