“I love everything about my job,” says Monica Gunter. “It’s all about respect. Respecting each other can and will better ourselves as a whole. Having respect for students and staff will help problems such as, bullying/ harassment, academics, dress code, attendance, athletes, etc. It helps us to better understand each other. Like with the dress-code, I can see both sides of the argument. I understand that students don’t like it and, at that age I wouldn’t have either. Then you have where the adults say it takes less time to get ready in the morning.” She continued with, “It can be stressful, but it is a good type of stress. Then again every job is stressful, but we all have duty and
responsibility.” She began again with, “If I didn’t like my job
then I wouldn’t be doing this. I do like my job, but I
sometimes miss being a classroom teacher. My
favorite grades to have taught were high school.
I like to help them see what directions and
choices they have in life.”
