Emphasis on observation and appreciation of various types and styles of plays, knowledge of the functions of the personnel and other elements of theater production including its history, dramatic works, stage techniques, production procedures and its relation to the fine arts. This may include ensemble performing, character and script analysis, and basic theater terminology. This exploration will emphasize the development and analysis of the actor’s instrument: voice, body and imagination as a means of interpreting human creativity and social expression. DRAM 1352 Acting II ................................. 3:2:3 Exploration and further training within the basic principles and tools of acting, including an emphasis on critical analysis of oneself and others. The tools include ensemble performing, character and script analysis, and basic theater terminology.
