Drug Policy

The Forum on Drug Policy is held to promote research and
encourage dialogue between academics and practitioners in
the field of drug policy. Held as part of the annual meeting
of the Midwest Political Science Association, from April 7-10,
and organized in cooperation with the Illinois Consortium on
Drug Policy, the Institute for Metropolitan Affairs at Roosevelt
University, and the PSO World Medical and Health Policy
journal.
Proposals examining all aspects of the health implications
of drug policy from around the world are sought, including
consideration of harm reduction, co-occurring disorders, health
disparities, use of psychotropic drugs in institutionalized and
noninstitutionalized populations, adaptive treatment strategies,
provider challenges, decriminalization or health-based policy
approaches, drug cartel violence, or emerging markets in
