BSO LATE NIGHT
New this season on five Friday evenings marked with the
symbol,
join us in the lobby of the Meyerhoff for a post-concert performance by
select guest artists. Pianists Jean-Yves Thibaudet (joined by soprano
Julia Bullock) and Gabriela Montero, violinist Ray Chen, the St. Lawrence
String Quartet and the University of Maryland Concert Choir all reveal
a different side of their artistry in intimate surroundings. Hear them in
a more relaxed setting while enjoying a drink with friends.

CENTENNIAL
COMMISSIONS
T.J. COLE
Marked with the
symbol, look out for the remaining five miniature
Centennial Celebration Commissions still to be performed from the 10-work
project initiated in early 2016. These concerts will each include the premiere
of an exciting new work inspired by a subject sourced from members of the
public. The five composers are the youngest ever Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline
Shaw, T.J. Cole, Lori Laitman, Jonathan Leshnoff and Christopher Theofanidis.
Commissioned for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Marin Alsop by Classical Movements, Inc. as part of the
Eric Daniel Helms New Music Program. Also made possible by generous support from New Music USA, the Francis Goelet Charitable
Lead Trusts, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music and the Randolph S. and Amalie R. Rothschild Endowed Fund for New Music.
