4. DISCIPLINARY HEARINGS
Surfing Australia in conjunction with the state branches and or the ISA may conduct a
disciplinary hearing, when the nature of the infringement may be of an unusual or illegal
nature.

Ripping up judging sheets
Writing on judging sheets
Swearing loudly in official area
Assaulting event staff
Abusing contest staff
Equipment abuse in event and competition areas
Damage to event property
Damage to property in event locality
Damage to surfing image caused by misbehaviour
Knowingly wearing event vest incorrectly
Not wearing vest to and from the beach marshal
Free surfing in competition area during heats
Surfing during next heat
Surfer’s caddy rides a wave
Abusing media
Assaulting media
Failing to attend media functions if asked
Failing to attend events entered
(without doctor’s certificate)
Stay in water after two interferences
