DONORS
PROVIDE AN
EVEN GREATER
CAPACITY TO
CARE

Renown Health stands ready to serve and
perform at the top of our game when patients
and the community need us most. To achieve
this, we rely in large part on the generous
support of our donors.
Philanthropy allows us to grow and serve more
efficiently. With donor funds, we are hiring
great people, constructing additional facilities,
purchasing the latest technologies, launching
new services and providing help to those with
the greatest needs. We commit 100 percent
of donations received by the Renown Health
Foundation to support initiatives that bolster
our abilities to heal others.
The David and Judy Hess Children’s Imaging Center, Wilbur D. May Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and William
N. Pennington Nursery were all made possible through generous contributions. And just this year, charitable
support has allowed us to:
• Build new Pediatric Pre/Post Op Rooms and an accompanying
Same-Day Surgery Family Lounge — funded by the Magic Gala
and Children’s Miracle Network donors.
• Begin designing the new Estelle J. Kelsey Simulation Lab,
which will be used to enhance simulation training for nurses
and doctors. It will also provide opportunities for University
of Nevada School of Medicine and Orvis School of Nursing
students to train side by side with our professional staff.
• Fully underwrite Healing Arts, Child Life and Patient Assistance
programs — allowing us to complement outstanding medical
care with an extra dose of support and comfort.
• Recruit the new Renown Children’s Hospital Chief Pediatric
Officer/University of Nevada School of Medicine Chair of
Pediatrics — funded in part by the Nell J. Redfield Foundation.
We are so grateful for the way our family of donors is stepping
forward to help us create a system of total community health
— physical, mental and emotional — and making it readily
available to all. If we are to make a large and enduring impact,
we cannot do it alone. Philanthropy and the involvement of our
contributors is mission critical. Every step of the way. Every day.
