The Best Flatwater Paddling
There’s water everywhere! That is the first
impression many people have when they
visit Sunset Country for the first time. With
all that water, it is logical to assume we
have great opportunities for canoeing and
kayaking and we certainly do! In fact there
are few regions that can compete with us for
flat water paddling. Lake after lake awaits
you and for serious canoeists, Provincial
Parks such as Quetico, Wabakimi and
Woodland Caribou present some real
challenging routes in remote areas.
Kayakers will also enjoy paddling around
our lakes where you can spend a day or a
week discovering one natural wonder after
the other. You can bring your own

equipment or rent it from local businesses
but the key ingredient for having a great
time on the water is definitely here. Canoe
and kayak outfitters are ready to work
with you to customize a package that suits
your needs. Guided or unguided trips,
lessons for the neophyte paddler, it can all
