Since taking over for legendary coach Terry Pettit on Dec. 15,
1999, John Cook has led Nebraska to a pair of national titles,
five NCAA semifinal appearances, eight Big 12 Conference titles
and Nebraska’s first Big Ten title in 2012. Cook has guided NU to
a 436-58 overall record and a 62-18 Big Ten mark. With Cook at
the helm, NU has produced three U.S. Olympians, three AVCA
Division I National Players of the Year, two NCAA Top Ten Award
winners, two Honda Award winners, 42 AVCA All-Americans,
three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans of the Year and 18
CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.
