THE NATION’S BEST VOLLEYBAL
Nebraska’s new home for volleyball, the Bob Devaney Sports Center
was sold out for all 16 regular-season home matches in 2014, bringing
the total to 188 straight regular-season sellouts entering 2015. Nebraska
led the nation in attendance for the second straight season with 8,083
fans per match. Husker fans set an NCAA attendance record in the first
year in the Devaney Center in 2013 with 8,175 fans per match.
While internal renovations were mostly completed in 2013 to give
the Huskers a spectacular new home court, a brand-new center-hung
video board by Daktronics was installed in July 2015. The new highdefinition video board is 28-feet wide on the sides and 13.5-feet tall.
A new sound system was also installed to add to the already electric
atmosphere inside the Devaney Center for each home match. External
renovations at the Devaney Center also finished in the summer of 2015,
demonstrating Nebraska’s amazing commitment to providing the best
facilities to the nation’s finest student-athletes.
The Devaney Center, which was renovated and reconfigured specifically
for volleyball in 2013, features five suites, new ceiling trusses that mimic
Nebraska’s previous homecourt, the historic NU Coliseum, and a great
wall to replicate the Coliseum entry. The Huskers also enjoy a new
locker room, ready room and administrative offices.

Devaney Center give the Huskers space to focus, study or relax before
and after workouts or matches. Legendary Nebraska Coach Terry Pettit
joined his family and the Huskers at the Devaney Center as NU’s new
home court was named in his honor on Sept. 6, 2013.

video board by Daktronics in July 2015. The new high-definition board is
trapezoidal in shape and is 13.5-feet tall and 28-feet wide on the sides.
Additionally, a new sound system will enhance the fan experience at the
Devaney Center in 2015.
