2013 WOMEN'S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES
Excited Huskers greet Taylor Edwards at home plate after her game-tying 10th-inning
home run against No. 2 Florida on Day 3 of the 2013 Women's College World Series.
In 2013, Nebraska made the program's seventh official
appearance in the Women's College World Series, earning
the third berth under Head Coach Rhonda Revelle, who
participated in the inaugural WCWS in 1982 as a pitcher and
first baseman for the Huskers. Despite losing a pair of extrainning heartbreakers in Oklahoma City, Nebraska enjoyed
its five-day stay. In addition to a pair of thrilling matchups
against Washington and Florida, the Huskers participated in a
variety of activities in Oklahoma City, including various media
opportunities with ESPN and other local, regional and national
outlets, a pre-tournament luncheon featuring all eight teams
and an autograph session. NU earned its way to the WCWS by
sweeping through the NCAA Lincoln Regional with a perfect
3-0 record. Nebraska then snapped the nation's longest home
winning streak and handed Pac-12 champion Oregon its only
home losses of the season, while winning two games in the
best-of-three NCAA Eugene Super Regional.
