Father’s HOuse Enabling God Changing Lives and Building Bathrooms in Cusco The Challenge Before Them In the 2014 winter HHK WMC magazine released earlier this year, there was an article that talked about the bathrooms, and lack thereof, in the Cusco regions. The bathrooms in Cusco were mainly small huts with a small hole in it. After witnessing these sites, a few of the missionaries decided to raise funds to build decent bathrooms for these churches. In the year 2015, were able to construct two new bathrooms for two churches that were in desperate need. When our missionary arrived in Peru in July and August of this year, they had a massive undertaking to overcome; building a bathroom in a nation where supplies and building materials were not readily accessible, on terrain that was uneven and rugged, around areas where all work had to be done through manual labor or limited paths and with local contractors that spoke no English whatsoever. Needless to say, it was not going to be an easy project. Thanks to God, we had all we needed to make this possible. Among the missionaries were individuals that God had called to gather together and work as one body under God to fulfill His work. Here are excerpts from some of the missionaries that came to Peru this year and how they responded to God’s calling: Jerry Pettry Valley City, OH “The mission trip sadly only lasted one week, but in that one week, my fellow missionaries and I worked from early morning to late at night... I thought to myself that there was no way we could get it done, but by the power of God, we were able to get extremely close to finishing... I met many new people, had wisdom that was bestowed upon me, and, most importantly, I was able to find a relationship with God and to finally hear what He has been telling and asking me for so many years.” Charoenporn “Yuyu” Khieosawang These were the bathroom conditions at many of the bathrooms in Cusco. 14 HHK World Mission Center Akron, OH “I was ready to give up going to Peru but I knew God wanted me to go and help the children there... I felt that God wanted us to be together and to work together as a family. I wanted to open my heart and get closer to God. The best part was that we got to see the children smile; they were laughing and smiling because of the joy that God brought into their lives... With God, everything is possible and that has been proven to me through this mission trip.”
