Community Partner: Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle
Intern: Dikshant Malla
Site Supervisor: Lawrence Grandpre, Dayvon Love,
Adam Jackson, Brion Gill
Working at LBS for a second year has been the best
experience of my life. After the recent uprisings in our
beloved city, I was angered and disheartened. Since the first
day, LBS has provided a platform where I can channel that
anger into productive use. Researching issues of police
brutality and anti‐blackness allowed me to gain in‐depth
knowledge about the issues that are close to my heart.
Beyond the research, LBS has taught me that you need to be
authentic about your work. Working at social organizations
are awesome, but do it because you truly want to. Thank you
to Abby, Dayvon, Brion, Adam, and Lawrence for being such
great mentors
