Interning for the Barclay Community Center has bee rewarding, meaningful work experience I have ever only 2 full‐time employees, I was given a lot of respo of flexibility. Throughout the summer, we organized workshops, all with the similar goal of building a bet community. I really appreciated the opportunity to office and directly in the community. This summer, w new clubs, the bike club and the architect club. We great group of kids together, and in addition to hold office, I was able to lead various field trips. One of m when we took the bike club to a BMX race, somethi including myself, had ever been to. While we organiz events, the highlight of my summer was the Women Conference. After weeks of planning and outreach, group of around 35 women attend. When calling ea feedback, women used words such as“ eye‐opening " transformative” to describe the conference. It was strong of an impact one event could have. I am excit of the relationships I have made in Barclay, and defi attending the Third Annual Women’ s Empowermen year. ‐ Jessa
