2015
DEVELOPMENT
PROJECTS
2015 was a wonderful year. We were able,
with the help of all of you, to sow into the
lives of many around the world. It is such a
blessing to know we are spreading hope and
life. Let’s take a look at the highlights:
RELIEF WORK:
The Impact Nations community responded
to the natural disaster that hit Nepal. The
earthquake left the people in need of clean
water, medical care and love. We were able
to provide water filters with the help of I Thirst and medical care assisted by our
partners in India.
KALONGA TRANSFORMATION:
2015 saw another prosperous year in Kalonga. One of the biggest projects we
completed was opening an Internet Cafe. This provides income for Hope and
Care school and allows the students to learn to work with modern technology.
Another large project was the Widows’ Sewing Business, where we were able to
supply machines, training and jobs. Kalonga is growing in the farming industry.
They have livestock, crops and land, all of which are creating greater sustainability
within the community. Impact continues to partner with the expansion of Kalonga
in land cultivation, food, jobs, and education. We started raising funds at the end
of 2015 to build a more permanent Hope and Care School that will provide a safer
learning environment as well as enabling them to get government certification for
the school. Before the government will certify a school, the school must have a
permanent structure. Government certification is required in order for the school
to hire the most qualified teachers and for
the children to take standardized exams
there.
It is such a blessing to know we
are spreading hope and life.
