ROBOTICS CLUB
The BELS Robotics Club participated in
their first “out-of-school” competition by
attending the 13th International METU
Robots Day in Ankara during March
2016. With a group of enthusiastic
Grade 9 and Prep-year students, BELS
made a statement by successfully
competing against university students
and engineers during this well-attended
event/competition. Participating in
the “line follower robot” competition,
BELS students managed to successfully
complete the tracks on the first day’s
event by using the Arduino Uno
microprocessor boards supplied by
the school, and some with their own
processor boards.
The event also showcased a number of
professional robotics applications as well
as projects using the latest development
in robotics engineering in Turkey.
With this event and the amazing results,
the BELS Robotics Club is set to grow
from strength to strength in years to
come.
PILATES CLUB
Pilates works the body as a whole.
It will lead to physical change of
tone, posture and flexibility. It
improves mental and physical wellbeing,
as well. The probability of
injuring yourself is quite low, since
you work with your bodyweight
mainly. To push ourselves further,
we utilize from Pilates band,
small and large ball, loop. Pilates
targets internal muscles, helps us
to strengthen body from within.
There are several essential Pilates
exercise we mostly use in social
activity: 1-The plank, 2- The
hundred, 3-Shoulder Bridge,
4-Twist, 5-Pike Crunch
