The day before:
- re-confirm your flight
- pack your carry-on bag (passport, airline
ticket, emergency contact information,
address and numbers of destination
contacts, one change of clothes, cash and
credit cards, documents)
The Day of departure:
- arrive at the airport well ahead of time (3
hours earlier)
Upon arrival in the host country:
- attend orientation meetings, excursions,
lunches and other events offered by the
host university
- become familiar with the city and university
Getting ready to return:
- check to see about your transcripts, letter of
confirmation
- prepare a reflective essay (if you have to
write one)
- start packing and say goodbye to all the
people you met
