PBC YEARBOOK Women’s Track & Field 2 5 Y E A R S Shorter Claims PBC Women’s Track & Field Championship PEMRBOKE, NC -- Shorter University claimed their second straight PBC women’s track & field championship with a dominating performance on Saturday in Pembroke, N.C. The Hawks set a PBC record for team scoring in the championships with 201.5 points. So dominant was Shorter that by the time the three-day meet – a bad storm on Friday washed out the schedule and forced officials to add events to the final day – came to an end, Shorter’s men and women knew they had claimed the crowns long before the team’s 4x400 relay foursomes put the proverbial icing on the cake in the last race. Nova Southeastern was second with 157.5 points while Montevallo was third at 134 and UNC Pembroke fourth with 108. The title was the second straight for Shorter. Women’s Team Results 1.
