As educators, we are dedicated to the te aching and development of the whole child. Our school program provides students with rigorous common core standards based instruction, hands-on math and science, a balanced literacy curriculum, leveled classroom libraries, writing throughout all content areas, music, choir, gardening, and computer-based programs that increase critical thinking, comprehension, and math skills. We have an awesome afterschool program that provide choice activities, homework assistance, instructional computer based programs that increase comprehension, critical thinking and math skills. We provide Parent Cafes for our parents to come together and build community with one another. Parents are able to dialogue with the principal at our monthly “Chew ‘n Chat” meetings. Dental care is provided to students in need at least twice during the school year. We have a counseling center, nurse, and psychologist on site to help maintain a positive and healthy environment amongst Markham students.
