Held at C.O.R.P tennis facility, with over 30 teams in 3 different divisions, it was a family fun event for all! MMER SU N FEUNIS T N FAMILY DOUBLE S Results: Division A: Robert Beckvall and Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall - Champions, Tim & Ashley Kelley – Finalists Division B: Markus & Felix Krendl - Champions, Robert & Brandon Westervelt – Finalists Division C: Albert & Aslan Cook - Champions, Benny & Ethan Toledo - Finalists HOOL SC NIS TEN Tennis in schools provides kids with a fun, easy and safe introduction to the sport that can be played in any space. Summer Fun Tennis introduced over 1,000 kids to tennis this year. A 25 year partnership between the City & County of Honolulu and USTA organizes teams of coaches to visit 25 public park sites. Mahalo to our coaches: Matthew Ong, Lauren Seki, Riley Inn, David Holt, Tristan Kaanohi, Brandon Bersola, Joseph Almuena, Shermann Alconcel, Shane Cashen, Carter Lam, Matthew Tavares and Johan Loo. 10 Schools achieve their health and wellness goals through tennis! USTA Hawaii Pacific visited over 30 schools this year. Major Community Events The USTA brought tennis to major community events that included the Great Aloha Run Health and Fitness Expo, YMCA Healthy Kids Day, ESPN Kids Fest, and Youth Day at the Capitol. The Hawaii Pacific University Men’s and Women’s tennis team volunteered for Youth Day at the Capitol where we created a battery of tennis courts on Punchbowl Street. 11
