Dear Stanford Football Season Ticket Holder,
Thank you for supporting our program and being a valuable part of one of the best football teams
in America. Over the last four years, our team has had unprecedented success at home with 26
wins and just one loss; including being undefeated the last two years. We have great coaches
and great players, but our home field advantage has been a large part of our success. We need
you to continue to make Stanford Stadium a loud and intimidating environment starting August
30 against UC Davis, and continuing September 6 against the USC Trojans.
As you know, Stanford game days are always fun, exciting and great for families. If you can’t
make it to one of our home games, make sure that your seats are used by someone in the Stanford community by logging onto gostanford.com and transferring or donating your tickets.
My dad, Willie Shaw, coached at Stanford in the 1970’s and again in the 1990’s. He told me a
long time ago that one of the best things about Stanford men and women is that they respond
to challenges. The early challenge for 2014 is to sell out our stadium for every game! Make it
a great environment for Ty Montgomery, Kevin Hogan, Henry Anderson, Andrus Peat, Jordan
Richards, A.J. Tarpley and the rest of the team to do what they do best, which is play the exciting and physical brand of football that I know you enjoy, while playing the game the right way …
