2014 Rotax Pro Tour | Round 4 | Lithgow | April 2014 | Page 3

"Welcome to sunny Lithgow" so the saying goes...for the fourth round of the 2014 Rotax Pro Tour. Last year’s weather here was less than desirable but it certainly provided for some close racing. I must commend you all on your efforts in Dubbo given the conditions, and I do hope that if we experience some wet weather this weekend, we can replicate the brilliant display of close and fair racing.

The Combined Districts Kart Club do an excellent job in preparing the track and the surrounding facilities for our event, so I must give them a big thank you. It’s never easy to co-ordinate all the behind the scenes activity and arranging volunteers, who without them would not make these events possible. So once again thank you all.

A reminder that our next round is the Jason Richards Memorial. The first two years that we have held this momentous event have been brilliant and this year Geelong will once again play host. Of course it is not solely the Jason Richards Memorial winner who walks away with an extra piece of silverware, but also the winner of DD2 who wins the Jason Richards Cup so I hope this will encourage plenty of entries across the board, including DD2 in which Jason raced back in 2010.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone the best of luck for this weekend, stay safe out on track and I look forward seeing you all around the track!
