Continuing in 2014 IPKarting Australia and New Zealand will concentrate on fostering strong relationships between drivers and teams between the two countries and greater racing opportunities have been developed with drivers from the two countries competing in reciprocal top-level racing events.
Outstanding New Zealand driving talent Daniel Kinsman has achieved five-time National Championship success and has raced between both Australia and New Zealand in the past few years as a Praga global ambassador. 20-year old Daniel has been the first karter to be accepted into the New Zealand Elite Motorsport Academy in 2011 and follows in the footsteps of NZ’s top kart export Josh Hart.
In 2014 Josh Hart joins IPKarting, returning to work in Australia and New Zealand after six successful years in Europe building a reputation both for his driving and engineering skills.
Hart worked directly with Bas Lammers in 2012 during his world championship campaign and is highly respected for his technical expertise. A major benefit to IPKarting Australia is his close ties to Praga, with Hart developing the Praga Dragon chassis for the Praga factory with multiple-world champion Alessandro Manetti.
More recenty he has worked with new Praga ambassador multiple-time World and Euro champ Jonathon Thonon and 2013 Rotax World Champions Cristiano Morgado (DD2 Masters) and Juan Manuel Correa (Junior Max).
The future is bright for Praga and OK1 with an abundance of young talent and seasoned campaigners lining up on the grid at each Rotax Pro Tour event.
A huge effort is also made at the very grassroots of the sport with a group of amazing Cadet drivers around the country who are developed long-term to see them eventually step up to Pro Tour racing and major success in Australia and overseas.
IPKarting believes the Australian karting industry would benefit enormously from the opportunity for Australia’s junior karters to have consistency in race experience to overseas offerings. In the international Rotax Max Challenge
