2014 Military Special Needs Network Holiday Guide 11/2013 | Page 3

I absolutely adore everything about the Holiday season - the trees, the lights, the food, and the Holiday movies… It’s the most wonderful time of the year…right?

For our military special needs families, the Holidays can be a time with added challenges and stress. From sensory overloads, buying gifts for the multi-aged child, and extended family that might not understand, the Holidays can be more misery than merry.

Here at Military Special Needs Network, we recognize the additional demands the Holidays can bring and so we are thrilled to welcome you to our 1st annual Holiday Guide. We hope you enjoy the helpful articles, supportive advice, and wonderful tips on surviving and thriving during the upcoming season.

I want to thank each one of our many volunteer Contributors for their incredible work. And a special thank you to Kelly Hafer and Miranda Fort for their extraordinary efforts to make MSNN the #1 inclusive support network for military families. You both inspire me every day.

All of us here at MSNN want to wish your family an enjoyable Holiday season!
