“Five Fighting for
First: Locust Hill”
Eamon Marone, Harry Jin, Joe
Petrin and Nick Musshafen were all
tied at 2-over-par as they
approached No. 18. Meanwhile
in the clubhouse, Jack Gianniny,
found himself also tied with the
foursome after making the biggest
move on the final day by shooting
a 3-under-par 69 which included
carding six birdies as part of a
5-under-par 32 on the back nine.
On No. 18, both Jin and Petrin
found the fairway off the tee, but
Marone missed right under the
trees. Not keen on the idea of a
five-person playoff, Marone got
himself out from the trees and
reached the green in two shots
despite a difficult approach shot.
Jin missed short and Petrin missed
right of the green, forcing chip
shots for the duo’s third shots.
Marone’s birdie putt fell a few feet
short of the hole, but he sank his
three-foot putt for par, to
