YOU CAN DIE BECAUE OF
DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER
Water intoxication, in other words water poisoning or
dilutional hyponatremia. Many people around us think that
our body is consist of %70 water and we have too drink too
much water for our health. In the history there are many tragic
events about drinking too much water.
Water H2O is the sine qua non of life. Water is forming about
66 percent of the human body, water flows through the blood,
inhabits the cells, and lurks in the spaces between. At all
the time water escapes the body through sweat, urination,
defecation or exhaled breath, among other routes. To prevent
the loss of too much we use ryhdration. 1
Water, is just like any other substance, can be entitled as a
poison when over-consumed in a specific period of time. Water
intoxication mostly occurs when water is being consumed in a
high quantity without giving the body the proper nutrients it
needs to be healthy, but even healthy people can get water
intoxication. 2
Risks for the water intoxication are ; low body mass , sports ,
effort and heat stress ambitious eating training and psychiatric
conditions. If you are a competitive person and you have the
potential of contest, that means ıf you are in a water contest
you will drink more and maybe you will gain the possibility of
dying. At that time your emotions are afeecting youself.
At the begining of this condition, fluid outside the cells
has an excessively low amount of solutes (such as sodium
(hyponatremia) and other electrolytes) in comparison to that
inside the cells causing the fluid to shift through (via osmosis)
into the cells to balance its concentration. This causes the
cells to swell. In the brain, this swelling increases intracranial
pressure (ICP)3.In conclusion cells become plasmolysed and
burst and it cause dead.
In order to prevent the water intoxication, intake of water
does not exceed his loses.
